Audacity from Server using PHP and Flash?

Pardon my first time post.

Does any one know if Audacity can be used on a Linux/Apache server controlled with PHP via command line?
I want to use it for an online web application with Flash as the GUI

Any links, samples or suggestions would be appreciated.

Audacity is designed as a desktop application. There is very little command line support (other than opening a named file).
