so i have been using Beta version for sometime and recorded a multitude of songs on it
there has never been a delay
yesterday i tried to select the monitor your input option and as suspected there was a huge delay.
i changed it back and now when i record anything normally with it just playing back the other tracks, there is a delay in the recording.
i may have messed with other settings but i dont know.
i uninstalled and reinstalled and i still have the problem.
i then installed the older version of audacity and it works fine.
but i need to access projects i saved in the beta version

Re: ODD Delay Problem
The desperation method is to open 1.3 with your valuable work and Export As WAV . WAV files will open up in all versions, anywhere.
Preferences > Audio I/O there should be a setting that prevents Audacity from trying to change the machine settings. Make sure that's off.
Can I assume you're on a Windows machine? Windows people tend to have problems like this.
After you set up Audacity right, then you need to go back into Windows settings and make sure you're listening to the right things.
