wireless recording

Post by technomero » Thu Sep 27, 2007 12:45 pm

goodmorning, i am new here.
does anyone have experience of how to record using a wireless laptop - the input device dropdown menu is not active at all. I am mainly intersted in avoiding having to physically connect to the phone line to record from the internet i.e. a telephone line.
All suggestiosn are welcome.
Thanks !

This question is really vague.

What exactly do you want to record? Streaming audio from the Internet? Or phone conversations?

I use Total Recorder for the PC and WireTap Pro on my Mac. (you didn't say what kind of computer you have).

Both programs "capture" the show going through your computer and can turn it into a sound file which you then edit in Audacity. They both have timed recording functions so you don't even have to be there to capture a show.
