Can Audacity have multiple tracks at once?

Can you have multiple audio tracks open in the same instance of Audacity? They would be on the same timeline, though able to be edited individually, and when exported, they are all combined into one song, or audio file. A lot of video/graphic programs, like Premier, After Effects, and Flash, work this way, though Im having trouble finding a free music editor that can do this, and I can't get Audacity to do that. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Yes, that's exactly the way Audacity works.
Click on Project > New Audio Track to get a new Mono track, or Project > New Stereo Track for a stereo track.
In theory, you can have an unlimited number of tracks but, in practice, this is limited by the speed and processing power of your computer.

Yes. File > Export as WAV will combine all the tracks and create a WAV file.
