How do get Audacity to install with an English toolbar - downloading 1.2 from Sourceforge. Toolbar labels appear to be Russian or something like that. Thx.

To change the language use: Edit>Preferences - Edit is the second command in from top left, then Preferences is the bottom selection in the drop-down list.

Then you need the Interface tab, which is the third one in from the right.

Language is selected from the only drop-down list in the dialogue box - use this to change to English.

Thanks. That got me close enough. In my case (V), the Preferences choice was the fifth one down and that got me to the Language dropdown. Found out that what I was seeing was Magyar.
Thanks, again.

Sorry - meant to indicate that Audacity version was V1.3.10-beta.
Also, my OS is WinXP(Sp3) Home.

Yup, the developers changed the interface in the 1.2 => 1.3 transistion.

There is a separate section of the forum for users of 1.3.x - as you have seen there is a difference between the towo variants.
