computer was shut down before saving

I am new to Audacity and was recording when my computer was shut down accidentally. I believe its possible to retrieve what I was recording but I am not sure how. With thanks for any help

Note: If you open Audacity and it says "orphaned files found, do you want to delete them?" do NOT delete them.

Hi,
I would like to thanks all of you people for providing the way to recover the lost file. I have been using the Audacity 1.2 over a long period of time, many times I used to get lost such files , but I didn't knew how to recover the files. By searching that I got these forums and my answer too. Thanks a lot to all the people who have directly or indirectly helped me.
