decreasing bass level

Hi, I'm pretty new to Audacity but I've found it very useful when working with my music recordings. I'm using ver. 1.26

I have some recordings which sound better when played back on speakers with low bass, or if I'm listening to it using crappy speakers with minimal bass output and lots of treble.
I'm wondering if I can decrease bass and increase treble through Audacity so I won't have to adjust my speakers.

Excellent. the Equalization effect is perfect as it lets me fine-tune the volumes for different bass frequencies.
