I'm new, using 1.2.6.
I'm trying to record from a standalone turntable. When I get into Audacity and attempt to record, the VU meters show input but graphic display shows nothing when Line In selected. When I go to Stereo Mix in, I get all kinds of noise after a brief display of signal in.
Into computer through a mic port.
Read all Audacity Wiki's / documentation, etc, I can find.
Nothing yet and I'm getting tired.
Help.

First, I'd highly recommend you switch to version 1.3.9 of Audacity. 1.2.6 is known to not work with Vista and OSX 10.5.
