I didn't find anything on the site that indicates this program can be used as a VST plug-in. I am after something with a reverse effect and I see that Audacity includes this. However, I would like to use it as a plug-in in Mackie's Tracktion 2 multi-track recording/sequencing software. Can you tell if that is possible with Audacity?
Thank you.

Audacity--Stand-alone or VST?
Re: Audacity--Stand-alone or VST?
No, Audacity is a stand-alone recording program, not an effects quite.
Further, it's support of VST is minimal.
I'm surprised Tracktion can't reverse an audio clip, it's trivial to do from a programming standpoint. Even Windows Sound Record can do it.
At this point, you're best bet seems to be to export the track you want to flip from Tracktion and use a different program to flip it. Then just re-import it into tracktion. Annoying, but it will work.

Re: Audacity--Stand-alone or VST?
Yes, it does seem like a relatively easy effect to include in a multi-track recording program. Really though, after checking around quite a bit, your idea about importing it into another program and flipping it seems to be the only option.
Thanks for the help.
