Audacity corrupted Palm Pilot data

Hello, has anyone had Audacity corrupt their Palm Pilot calendar? I have lost most of 12 years worth of data and I'm wondering if anyone knows what I can do - as you can imagine, I'm desperate. The Palm people have restored what they can, which is not much, and given up. Thank you so much for any help! Roberta

You posted in a portion of the forum where we can't tell what kind of computer you have or which operating system. It's a Mac, right? It would be good to know which Palm, which version of Palm Software and anything else about your computer you can think of.
We're not there watching you, so we work in a vacuum.
Audacity uses a lot of system resources to edit sound and questionable or unstable computers feel it first when you try to produce a show. If you're about to run out of hard drive space, the computer will become very unstable and could damage other files. People are shocked how big sound files can get and how fast.

You were running Audacity on a PDA?
You had 12 years worth of work on your PDA and no backup?
If the "Palm people have restored what they can" then it's unlikely that any more data is recoverable.

Oh, right.
I thought from the posting that Audacity was running on the PC used for Palm backups.

I think we need some clarification from Roberta.
