I just want to play the record through my computer and my computers sound card now that my AT-LP2d-USB record player is hooked up to my windows Vista. How do you do this? I understand you CAN record the record - and then play it -which i've done and it works great- But i'm looking to just play my record - not record anything and rock out for a quick 20 minutes.

Any way this is possible?

You can do this with Audacity simply by turning monitoring on. Just click once in the record level meters and monitoring will then be on - clicking there again will turn it off.

This feature is normally used to preview recording levels prior to making a recording - but it will do the job you want too.
