Sound Forge keyboard shortcuts - Ctrl-Left, Ctrl-Right

There are these keyboards shortcuts I use all the time in Sound Forge but I can't figure out how to set up in Audacity. In Sound Forge, holding down the Ctrl key while pressing the left or right arrow "jumps" the cursor left or right (ie. moves left or right but in a bigger increment than without the Ctrl key). I find these shortcuts helpful in quickly navigating files.

Is there any way to implement this in Audacity? Thanks...

Moving the cursor is Audacity's black hole. You can't assign it numbers, you can't jump, and you can't scrub.

The closest I found was Apple-Left and Apple-Right moves the view in large jumps, but not the cursor. Substitute your OS key for the Apple key.

Hey koz thanks for the info.

Do you know of any plans to improve the cursor behaviour in Audacity? If not I think I will post a feature request...

I would go ahead and post a feature request, the developers will know more about the future features and I think they visit that forum a lot more often.
