Credit where credit's due

Post by hywel » Sat Oct 20, 2007 1:38 pm

As a new user but an ancient, indifferent guitarist, may I thank you lovely bunch of developers for a wonderful piece of software.

I've been searching for a simple, straightforward multi-track system for years. I've tried so many - Cubase, N-track, Cakewalk etc etc - and nothing comes close to the 'Oh, I've got a great idea; let's record it' nature of Audacity. Downloading all sorts of rubbish over the years, the pressure was on to produce some sounds for my son's 18th birthday DVD, so I tried Audacity. I pressed the record button and it recorded, I pressed play and it played, I created another track and it recorded without any problems, and again and again and again... I produced four tracks in three nights..job done. (If you want to hear some of the results, give me a shout and I'll post them.)

Whatever you are doing, you are doing it right - thanks for all your great work.

Hywel

Thanks - it's great to get positive feedback from users, as well as the suggestions and queries we normally see.
