I was using it today as usual, (have used it great without bugs for a while now), but today something really strange happened. It just stopped working...
If I import a file (wav or mp3) and hit play, nothing happens. Button is "pressed", but the cursor just stays at the beginning and I hear nothing. If I try to record something, it records good, I see the peaks of audio, but when I try to play back, the same thing happens.
If I try to export it (both wav and mp3) the file comes up a few seconds longer than the original, but is completely silent.
I restarted my computer twice now, have used lots of different audio files of both types, and still the problem is not solved.
Whats going on here?
Broken? (stopped working out of nothing)
Re: Broken? (stopped working out of nothing)
Okay, I reinstalled and it fixed the problem.
But now, everytime I export something (wav or mp3), the clip is much longer than the original.
Example:(seconds)
Original 23 - Export 40
Original 2:52 - Export 4:49
Why is this happening?

Try resetting Audacity preferences according to this guide: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... o_defaults
Be careful if you are on Windows - if you make a mistake in the Windows registry you can cause lots of problems (use the "Safe Solution" method).
It may also be worth upgrading to Audacity 1.3.7
