E-MU external sound card problem

Guys,

When I try to configure Audacity to accept the E-MU external soundcard, It allows it for 'playback' but not for 'recording' .

Anyone any ideas as to why this is happening?

Which one of the million models do you have and plugged into what? you can't be too specific.

I'm using the E-MU 0202 for recording on my Thinkpad W500 running Vista Business x64. I'm using Audacity 1.3.7. If you are using the same card and your environment is similar I may be able to help you.
