I am trying to place my Zoom recording to a new Audacity file. I am not able to do that. I converted file from Mp4 to wav and opened it Audacity from files but Windows closes the Audacity while in progress a few moments later. I have WIn7. Could you please assist me here?

Maybe M4A rather than MP4? Do you have Windows set to show you filename extensions? How did you do that conversion? If you install the FFMpeg software, I believe Audacity will do the conversion by itself.

How much room do you have on your machine? Depending on your settings, an M4A show can get monstrously larger when you open in Audacity. Audacity has to take the M4A compression out of the work and then convert it to Audacity’s super high quality internal format. If you don’t have a lot of free space on your computer, it just may not fit.
How long is the show? Six hour surveillance recording?
