Zoom AMS-44 ASIO Win11

I succeeded getting simultaneous 4-channel recording working on the Audacity 4.0, which absolutely would not work on v.3.7.9.

System is Windows 11 with Zoom ASIO driver installed.

However, Bluetooth must be turned OFF, otherwise Audacity won’t start.

I’m not sure if I have a stable setup (first test failed just as in v3.7.9), having completed just a handful successful recordings on a row.

I welcome tips on using Zoom Sound Cards with Audacity. Any?

Nice progress! I’d keep Bluetooth disabled while testing and check the Zoom ASIO buffer size and sample rate for stability. If recordings still fail randomly, comparing different buffer settings could help identify the cause.

Maybe.

Buffer size on Zoom is in number of samples, in A4.0 it is in ms -if I remember correctly. Tricky

Seems like ASIO does not work well on Audacity 4.0 with Zoom ASIO driver when recording more than two channels.

Recording abruptly stops, at random.

Anyone same problem?

SOLVED: Quick fix found

This problem seems related to Zoom ASIO driver for the Zoom AMS-44 Audio VF Soud Card not working. Same problem is seen on Waveform Free 14 when using ASIO.

I’ve found a solution by installing the Flex ASIO driver and Flex ASIO GUI and then selecting WDM-KS as Host. Now it’s possible to select and record all 4 channels fra the AMS-44 simultaneously on Audacity 4.0, probably on 3.7.9 too.
