It’s been a while since I used this program and I’m no where tech savvy. I’m trying to record my karaoke but the program keeps recording at the end and not at the start of the song. Much help as possible is appreciated, thank you.
I assume that you have imported your backing track (?)
Next, you need to rewind (“<<” button),
then hold down the Shift key and click the Record button (or “Shift + R”) to record to a new track.
I do that but it keeps recording at the end on a new track
Which version of Audacity? (look in “Audacity menu > About Audacity”)

Look in the Audacity Preferences, “Recording” tab, and ensure that the third option “Record on a new track” is NOT ticked.
