Yep, no aup.file

My computer crashed, nicely enough I had my music backed up, or at least so I thought.

I have what seems like the raw data folders, and the files therein, but I lack the aup file.

Is this a solvable problem? Are the small data files named in a helpful way?

Since most files are continuous recordings, this is like a puzzle, in which every piece actually has to fit with the previous and coming part - is there a tool which can recognize those?

If you are using the current version of Audacity, automatic recovery will usually be successful the next time you launch Audacity. Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in “Help > About Audacity”)

Well i have audacity 2.02, but the problem is that the computer crashed, as in, permanently. I backed up the data files, but failed to backup the aup - on another computer, that’s the deal.

Ouch, not good.
Crash recovery without the AUP file is not particularly easy and may not be successful, but there’s some information about how to approach the task here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Crash_Recovery

I will have a look into it, thanks!
