Workaround to Save noise profile

I saved the noise in wav then import it again to next file but it’s not working like in the first file.
I highlight it then get the new get noise reduction then reduce noise but the result still has the noise

Also I tried import, mark the noise then click resample then get noise profile and then reduce but nothing.

What are the right steps?

Yes, I see a misprint in that post; perhaps @waxcylinder can fix it.
