I’m using Audacity 3.1.3 on a MacBook Pro 16 with the M1 Pro chip, 10 Core, 16 GB RAM running Monterey 12.4. Audacity won’t open unless I do a reboot. The Icon will jump and show it is opened (black dot under the icon in the doc) but there are no windows. This is my first Mac and it seems like I should have plenty of resources available. Are there any configuration changes I can make so I don’t have to reboot every time I need to open Audacity?
The next version of Audacity (version 3.2.0) should have native support for the M1 chip (rather than running via “Rosetta 2”).
The last estimate that I’ve seen for when Audacity 3.2.0 will be released is around the end of September 2022.
