I recently installed the Audacity program for Widows XP and It wont let me even run audacity. Everytime I try to open it, it always says ‘this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem’ I have reinstalled it about 6 times with different versions and everything and it still comes up with the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time and support! 
Please install the appropriate Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package for your computer as per the green box here:

That should cure the issue.
