won't export MP3 file [SOLVED]

audacity was working fine for the last two months. Now it will exports the data & aup. but not the MP3 file.

Using 2.0.5 version, on a Mac book pro 10.9.4

Audacity does not export projects, it saves them, and only Audacity can use the AUP file.

We can’t see your computer, so please describe exactly what happens when you try to export an MP3. If you are adding dots (periods) into the file name, you will need to add a final “.mp3” (without quotes) at the end of the file name. See Why does Audacity warn about the name or nothing happens when I export or save? .

If Audacity says it cannot find the LAME MP3 encoder, please reinstall the encoder. Please see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#maclame .
