Someone will correct me, but there is nothing here…

…that will send you to the forum. In fact, many of the wiki pages are like that. If you don’t unroll a ball of strung behind you when you go in…

@Theseus: it seems to be working ok now …

There’s a link to the Forum on the Wiki front page, and the front page is accessible under “Navigation” in the Sidebar from any Wiki page. If people go to Wiki Tips or Tutorials from the links at the top of any Forum page, I designed them so those links open in a new window. Do you really think most Wiki pages (or Tips and Tutorials specifically) need a link to Forum inside the pages? Won’t it encourage people to not bother to read and come here instead?
But if we need a link to Forum from every Wiki page then it’s probably best in the “Useful Links” box in the Sidebar. I think that’s a reasonable idea given every Forum page links to the Wiki. Comments?

Koz,
Assuming that you have the Audacity Forum set as a link in you “Favorites” in your browser - then if you are deep in several layers of the Wiki, then rather than rolling back the “string” you can just jump starigh back to the forum. Admittedly not the page you left behind - but Audacity will remember that you are logged in (provided you return within the time-out period).
Alternatively why not (when jumping from forum to Wiki) open the link with an “open in new tab” or “open in new window” - assuming that is that your browser supports such functionality.

Like I said, if you use the links in the header at top of every Forum page, that should open in a new window (or tab) depending on your browser set up.

The forum is never missing. I have it at the top of my web site navigation page…

But I noticed that there are certainly links to other external help services, but if you started out life in Wiki Top, you would never know the forum was out there.
