Why cain't I get Help using the HELP Button.

Hi, great program (Audacity) but when I click on the help button and select the Manual (in browser) nothing happens except the help menu closes. I’m running windows 7 (64bit) and the latest version of Audacity. 2.0.6

I forgot to add that I also downloaded the full version for windows with the help files within, but they don’t come up when clicked on. WHY is this?

Download Audacity only from here: Audacity ® | Download for Windows.

Install or reinstall Audacity from the above page. Make sure that half way through the installation process, you out a tick (checkmark) in “Reset Preferences”. Say yes when you launch Audacity after installation and it asks whether you want to reset preferences.

If there is still a problem then probably you don’t have HTML files associated correctly with your web browser. You can always go here Audacity Manual to look at the Manual for the current version of Audacity. So when Audacity 2.1.0 comes out soon, the content of that site will change to refer to 2.1.0.
