White Screen in the Way of Audio Tracks When I Open Audacity

I am on Audacity 2.3.2.
Windows 8
Every time I open Audacity, this white screen appears in front of my tracks not allowing me to see them. (See in picture attached)
I am trying to create music with a Blue Snowball Microphone.

  1. Ensure that you have a genuine version of Audacity from https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

  2. Try reinstalling, but during the installation, look for the option to “Reset Preferences”, and select that option when it appears. On first run, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to reset preferences.

I have been installing from the Audacity website the entire time. I tried this method and upon completion, I still have the white screen. I can load in audio however, I am unable to see/edit any tracks.

Try resetting the toolbars:
“View menu > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars”
