So I got this new Jabra Evolve 20 headset, my old one was an old Logitech. I checked all the device properties and found no issues. But when recording, it acts as if Software playthrough of input is enabled, records for a few seconds and then the timeline stops but the “recording” doesnt and it stays in place while repeating the last heard sound. I have no idea what is causing this.

I’ve had this issue with Audacity 3.1.3 as well and it can be quite frustrating! I found that the best way to fix this is to make sure that all recording settings are correct, specifically checking that “Software Playthrough” and “Software Monitoring” are both turned off. You may also need to modify the input and output settings to ensure that audio is being routed correctly. Hopefully, adjusting these settings resolves the issue for you.
