Which effect...?

Hello. I’m looking for an effect that is commonly used by Digital Hardcore and Breakcore artists (Venetian Snares, Alec Empre, Sizuo, EC8OR, etc.). It’s a type of delay that adds distortion, slows the sample down, and modifies the pitch all at once. I hear it all the time but don’t know what it is or what they’re even using.

This is really vague, but does anyone have any idea what I’m trying to look for, and if it’s something that can work with Audacity?

I have no idea what it’s called, but it’s probably a VST effect. If that’s true, then there’s a good chance it won’t work right with Audacity due to licensing restrictions.

Your best bet is probably to email some of the artists.
