When I record with a blue yeti to Audacity, I get terrible, metallic sounding distortion. Any help appreciated.
Your Live Voice in Windows? Those are kind of important details.
Are you wearing sealed against your head headphones while you record? That’s important for odd distortion like this.
Start by digging in Windows setups and turning off “Enhancements.”
Then make sure you don’t have Skype, Zoom, Meetings or other chat program, or games running in the background. Once they’re all off, Cold Shutdown the machine. Shift+Shutdown > OK > Wait > Start. Not Restart or Regular Shutdown.
Do not let anything automatically start. That help? Note any changes even if the problem doesn’t resolve.
A Yeti will record your voice with no Blue software or drivers. Did you install the drivers? If you did, dig in those setups and make sure there are no helpers running.
And as above, make sure you’re wearing big wired headphones for voice production.
Do post back no matter what happens.

The Yeti is a side-address microphone.
You don’t announce into the rounded end. Also make sure the heart-shaped pattern (cardioid #3) is selected and you’re announcing into the company name.
