when I click record I get "error opening sound device"

today is the 1st time I got this error
when I click record I get “error opening sound device”
audacity will not record now.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to the latest audacity version
I have windows 10
there was just a windows 10 update

I don’t know how to fix this.
I can’t record or use audacity.

Is there a fix.
