I can not figure out how to get the recording track muted. All I want to do is play one track through my computers speakers and mute the track I’m activing recording on, is this possible.
I read that three times and I can’t figure out what you’re trying to do. Describe the job.
One note. You can’t have speakers and a microphone running in the same room.

If you are hearing the input before starting Audacity go through the Windows Control Panel and de-select Listen to this device.
