Windows 10, Audacity 3.4.1. Audacity was working fine - audio was being input into audacity and the WAVEFORM was appearing like it should. Then I clicked on something on the audacity display and the waveform disappeared, but the audio was still coming into audacity as shown on the microphone lines and the cursor continued to move across the screen and time being used kept increasing – HOWEVER, the wave form does not display. I exited Audacity and started it back up again, but I still cannot get the waveform to appear, even though audio is being input to Audacity. How do I get the waveform to display?
Thanks,
Dave
problem solved
What did you do?
During a recording, I clicked on something in Audacity that immediately reduced the recording level to the point that I was recording silence – that caused my problem. To remedy, I simply increased the recording level back to where it was when I started the recording. Simple fix, huh — but these days, nothing is simple for me (lol).
