Wave Vocal plugin by https://www.waves.com/ Does not work

today is 7/27/2019

I recently purchased a plugin from https://www.waves.com/ called the “CLA VOCALS”. this plug in allows you to use multiple effects in one plugin similar to some free plugins i have already. I spent $49 on this plug. this plugin works with 32 bit processors DAWs. I put the plugin .dLL inside of my plug-in audacity folder as normal. But it doesn’t work. I used many plugins similar and it works just fine. How can I get this plug-in to work?

Picture of error is attached.

Thank you for your response.

Audacity is not on the supported hosts.

I guess you didn’t try the demo?

Does it run stand-alone or does it need a host?

I have a similar problem! I’m using Audacity 2.3.0 and after talking to a wave’s tech on the phone. He verified that my wave’s DeBreath V10.0.0 and DeEsser V10.0.0 have been added to my Windows 10 64 bite o/s. Now I need to find out how to Rescan the plugins to Audacity 2.3.0. Online instructions said that I needed to go to preferences, effects, and VST. Then I’d find an option to Rescan VST effects next time Audacity was started. I have not found the later option to Rescan VST plugins. Can you help?

Did you tell him you were using Audacity?
Did he say the plug-in works with Audacity?

Audacity is a 32-bit application so it needs 32-bit plug-ins. (But that doesn’t guarantee it will work with Audacity.)

I don’t think that’s true anymore.

Adding VST Effects

Then you’ll need to Enable the effect. The effects are sorted by type, and VSTs/DLLs are in the bottom group (if it shows-up at all).

That’s never been true for Audacity. Audacity doesn’t have a “Rescan VST” option, which makes me think that the tech guy was talking about some other program and not Audacity.
