Wah Wah Effect does not Work

I love Audacity :slight_smile: . Its awesome and i have never had any trouble with it. Well, only one, to be precise. the Wah Wah effect is not working on any tracks. Audacity crashes when I try to apply the effect. Inevitably. It seems such an issue has happened before, and i have read some articles trying to solve this. However, the solutions exposed therein seem to no longer apply due to my audacity version being newer, and me having a different OS. In the hopes of having someone know how to solve this issue, I (and many others) will be very thankful. Technical specifications lie underneath:

OS: Windows 10
Audacity Version 2.0.(5? i think)
Audacity Language: Spanish
CPU: Dell
RAM: 4 GB
Simple description: Wah wah does not work on any track, tracks or fragment of a track that I try to apply it to. Preview functions normally, though. It crashes every time, without exception.

The problem was a translator’s error - this has been fixed since Audacity version 2.1.0.

Either change the language to English at Edit > Preferences… (Interface section), or probably better, update to the current Audacity 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows.
