W Media player is not importing

Recording LPs from a USB record player. I have exported files with both WAV and MP3 extensions, and they appear in the folders concerned in Windows explorer. I have checked that media Player is set to retreive files from the folders concerned. However, they are not appearing anywhere in the media player library.

Using Windows 7 home edtition 64 bit on a Dell XPS L521X laptop Audacity 2.0.2 ( do I have to delete this version before getting 2.0.3?)

Audacity 2.0.3 can be installed over the top of Audacity 2.02 (without uninstalling 2.0.2 first). In effect this will update 2.0.2 to 2.0.3.

You may need to tell Windows Media Player to rescan or update its library.
