VST Plugin Works Better in Alternate Audio Program

Hi,

I was wondering why a VST Plugin (32 bit) might work better in a different Audio program that, in general, is not as advanced as Audacity.

The initial issue I came across is that the option to listen to only the audio that the effect is removing doesn’t work in Audacity, but it does in the other software.

Maybe there is an option in Audacity that I have turned on that might interfere with a plugin. Just trying to troubleshoot.

Thanks,

Mike

Not all VST effects support Audacity. It up to the plug-in developer. If you buy a commercial VST there is usually a list of officially-supported hosts/applications. Audacity is rarely listed and I assume that’s because most Audacity users don’t buy plug-ins.

With free plug-ins they usually don’t have the staff or budget to test & debug with every possible host so it’s usually hit-or-miss.
