Video autofiltering - Is the PC muting my track?

Greetings all,

I have an Audacity track that I want to play in the background of a video taken on my PC. I have dialogue that should be both before and after the audacity track. But every time I try to record the video track, I think my PC is filtering it out. In the video, the audacity track starts, but quickly gets quiet to the point of being inaudible. Yet it plays fine at steady volume just from audacity.

Is there something I need to tweak to be able to play and HEAR the track on my PC’s video camera?

Thanks!

Possibly a playback “audio enhancement” called “loudness equalization” which turns the volume down when it is too loud.

Thanks Trebor. Unfortunately my system default speakers don’t have an Enhancments tab to open/modify.

There can be other audio enhancement apps, e.g. MaxxAudio, DTS.
