Dear all
I found some cassettes of the year 1987. The recording back then was very bad, meaning that the voices sound muffled and very far away. There are also a lot of background noices, but this is under control now. However the voices remain very hard to understand. I tried already a lot of things, like normalisation, compression, clip fix, EQ, amplify etc. without a big difference. However, I am no tech-person nor a sound-person, so my knowledge is limited! I look up a lot of how to- video’s, still it doesn’t seem to do much.
My questions:
- is it possible to make the voices better hearable? (in the original they are also very bad)
- If possible: how to do it? Steps to take, etc.
The goal is not to get a superb recording, but to be able to understand what people are saying as much as it can be…
Thank you for replying!
