V2.1.3 can't see existing LAME libs

I tried to import a .wav and got the message that Audacity can’t find the LAME and FFMPEG libraries. I did the needed browse and found the needed libraries, as expected (installed with V2.1.3 install). I still get can’t find the needed libraries. I reinstalled the LAME package and still get the message. What obvious thing have I overlooked?

V2.1.3 under up to date Win10. Installed with .exe’s

I reinstalled the LAME package

Did you download Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows.exe and ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe from here and did you run the EXE files to install?

OK, mystery solved - I have LAME and FFMPEG for Shotcut editor. Trying to get Audacity to use those file structures failed. Dunno why, it just did. With the “…for Audacity” file structures, all is well.
