Using VirtualMIDISynth with Audacity

I’m trying to record some MIDI piano rolls using VirtualMIDISynth rather than the lousy Microsoft MIDI player. But having no success. I read somewhere to be sure your output is “stereo mix” but when I go into the sound control panel for Windows Vista, Stereo Mix is not an option. Or perhaps there’s some other program that I can use to record these files??

That should be "be sure the Audacity input is “Stereo Mix”.

If you can’t get that going, you could try recording with Sound Leech (currently free).
