I few versions ago I was able to make the screen view wider and smaller by hitting the - / + buttons on my keyboard, why did you guys not keep this feature in the newer versions of Audacity??
I cannot remember that this ever was the case in Audacity - and I am using it for years now. I think you always needed to click on the magnifying glass symbols for this.

and you can also use the shortcuts Ctrl+1 and Ctrl+3 (on Mac Cmd+1 and Cmd+3)
If you would prefer to use a single keystroke for these shortcuts you can just set up custom shortcuts for them - see:
