USB Mic won't show up [SOLVED]

I obtained the .dmg installer. I attempted to connect to my Blue Snowball Ice USB microphone but it wouldn’t even show up. I selected it in my Apple preferences, but it still wouldn’t show up. The mic works in all my other apps such as Garageband. Please help.

Audacity checks for microphones when it starts. Restart Audacity with the microphone already plugged in and recognized by the Mac.

You can also use Transport > Rescan…

Use the Device Toolbar to select the recording device.
