I have Audacity 2.0.3 installed on a MacBook Pro operating 10.8.2
I’m trying to use a USB mic C-1U that doesn’t seem to be recognized by my computer.
Manual says my operating system should automatically install drivers - nothing happens when I plug mic into USB port.
I can record in Audacity without mic, but when I select use USB mic input and hit record, error message: “Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate.”
HELP PLEASE!
Thanks,
NYCVoiceover
Macs don’t need the big fuss of loading drivers. Your microphone should just be there. Plug in the mic and give the computer a second to chew on it, then launch Audacity. Does that mic have any lights on the front? Do they light up?
