I have a lexicon usb interface and I recorded some guitar tracks into ableton.I then decided instead of rendering output as wave I would record the output as I mixed it into Amplitude-like a live pa set.Trouble is nothings showing on wasapi host and I havn’t got a loopback input option showing. Its windows 10 pc-any ideas anyone?
Connect your lexicon usb interface first, then launch Audacity, then save the “Audio Device Info” somewhere convenient.
Attach the “deviceinfo.txt” file to your reply (see: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1)
here you are
deviceinfo.txt (4.12 KB)
The settings you need in the Device Toolbar are:
host: WASAPI
Recording: Speakers (USB Audio Device) (loopback)
Playback: Speakers (USB Audio Device)
I put them settings and I get Error opening recording device.Error code -9997 invalid sample rate
Check in the Recording and Playback tabs of the Windows Sound control panel. Ensure that the sample rate for the device in both tabs is set the same. Set them to 44100 if you can.
If you have to set them to 48000, then you should also change Audacity’s “Project Rate” (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to 48000.
The sample rate should be the same in all three places.
Thanks for your help steve tried above and still no joy.I was using asio4all in ableton for low latency with my edrums but even when I changed back to the lamba asio it still don’t work.Could it be that these asios are only able to work on one app at a time?I.m sure in the old days when I had a soundblaster card I had two apps running
Audacity does not support ASIO.
