UPGRADING TO VERSION 3

I AM USING VERSION 2.4.0. AND WINDOWS 10. I UPGRADED TO VERSION 3 THEN TRIED TO OPEN A PROJECT BUT IT TOLD ME IT COULDN’T FIND THE DATA FILES SO I USED SYSTEM RESTORE TO TAKE ME BACK TO 2.4.0. HAS ANYONE ANY IDEA WHY THIS HAPPENED WITH VERSION 3?

Basically older projects from 2.4.x (or earlier are in two part

  1. an AUP file - effectively the project manager
  2. a _data folder which contains the audio data broken up into 6 second snippets of sound

You need both in order to be able to open an AUP project (in 2.4.x or 3.0.0). When you successfully open it in 3.0.0 a copy of the project is created in the new consolidated single AUP3 project file.
