Hi, I’m currently using Audacity 1.3 BETA version on Windows 7, but I’ve noticed today that there is a new version, Audacity 2.1.2.
Can I ask, if I install the newest version of Audacity, will I still be able to open files created using the 1.3 BETA version?

Any Audacity projects you could open in 1.3.x versions of Audacity will open in 2.1.2.
Be sure to uninstall 1.3.x before installing 2.1.2. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#exe.

I can now download the latest version with peace of mind that my files will be OK.
Audacity is great recording software, I’ve recommended it to some of my friends, too.
