up date level

hello

how to up date the graphic score after doing the level in the mixer .

mac 10.805 Adcty 2.1.2

thanks to let me know

Our application is called “Audacity”. You should obtain it from Audacity ® | Download for Mac OS.

This does not seem to be a feature request. Is the question anything to do with Audacity? If so, could you please use more words to describe the problem, so we can understand it better.

What do you mean by “graphic score”? Do you mean the waveform display?

And what do you mean by the “mixer”? Mixer Toolbar recording slider?

Gale

yes good questions yes i mean the wayform display .

no i mean the mixer board .

thanks for your patience

The Mixer Board works in an identical manner to the Track Gain sliders (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audio_tracks.html#gain). The sliders change the level at which the track plays, but does not change the actual audio data. To “apply” the change to the audio data (so that it is displayed in the waveform, the track must be “rendered”. To do this, select the relevant track and apply “Tracks menu > Mix and Render” (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tracks_menu.html#mix).
If other tracks are present in the project, the “rendered” track appears below all other tracks.

Note that if you select multiple tracks and apply “Mix and Render”, then all the selected tracks are mixed down into one track.

An alternative way to adjust the level of a track and have the affect shown in the track waveform, is to use the Amplify or Normalize effects. See:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/amplify.html
and:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/normalize.html
