Hi, I hope you can help!
I am using a Zoon H4N as my microphone input on Audacity 2.0.5 and trying to record plain speech. I am using a Macbook Pro Retina.
The output is set to ‘built in output’. My problem is that as I am recording, I can hear foldback of what I am recording coming from my macbook speakers and it therefore feeds into my Zoom H4n and records it again, thus creating an echo effect.
I didn’t have this project before but have been messing around with my audio settings because i’ve been using Soundflower to record a few extracts from old movies on Youtube recently for another project, so I think that this could have something to do with it!
How can I prevent audacity from playing back what I am recording AS I am recording. I can solve it temporarily by selecting sound flower as my output, but it’s inconvenient to have to toggle between soundflower and built-in to hear what I have recorded AFTER I have recorded it.
Any ideas?
