Tune names don't show up when pasted in to ongoing work

I make mixes and I paste in the tunes I want into a mix tune by tune . In earlier editions of Audacity the tune name appeared, now in 3.6.1 they are either called audio or bear the name of the first tune I pasted in (I don’t export them into ongoing work) This is really tedious as I need to read the names for voice narrative which I dub on after all the tunes are in place and if very confusing as well. Do you understand what I mean? .

Can rename the clips …

Clip name editing

You can also select the whole clip (double left-click in the clip’s waveform) and then right-click in the clip’s waveform to get a context menu with a Rename Clip command - which does have Rename clip command@ [image] And there is a pre-defined shortcut for that command. There is also the Edit > Rename Clip (same shortcut) - but that also requires the whole clip to be selected.
