Trying to find out what Audacity version I had before

Hi. Trying to find out what Audacity version I had before. The layout was black with greenish frequency wave . When I opened multiple tracks, they were listed on the left side in a nice row. And if adding/creating a new project, a menu came up where you chose bitrate and all those things, and it was placed in the same row as all the other opened tracks. And when double clicking on one of the tracks, the frequency wave for that track was shown to the right. When dragging/selecting a portion of the track, a pop up with (I think) four symbols came up, where you could cut it, paste it, move it and so on. Then, if selecting copy on the marked section, you just dragged it to the new project field/name and dropped it there for a new track. All in one nice simple compact window. Thanks.

High contrast theme … https://manual.audacityteam.org/man//themes.html , (theme choice an option since Audacity 2.2.0 )

i.e. before time shift-tool was removed in version 3.1.0.

The last incarnation of version two was 2.4.2 … Old Audacity versions download

Thanks for the input. Not the one I had. Maybe I had some altered version. Looked a bit different, not just theme, but the hole thing. And if I opened, lets say ten tracks, only one frequency wave was shown to the right, the other nine were hidden. Was running an altered windows version when I had it, and when I tried an update I alway got an error. I guess change is a part of life, and not my strong suite….but I`ll try.

You may be mistaking Audacity for a similar sounding or similar looking audio editor.

Audition, Ardour, Tenacity, Wavosaur, Wavepad.

I was thinking the same, but the logo I`m 99.99 % was the same. And I think every time I opened it, I got the message "It looks like your using an older version of(99.99% sure)Audacity. But because of the tweaked windows or some other bug, that update route didn`t work. I didn`t do anything in settings in that version, just downloded it and that was it. I`ll check some more when I have the time, and manage with what I have now. Thanks
